Master glossary

One approved master glossary

v0.6.1-beta.1 supports single-master mode. When enabled and pointed at master_glossary.xlsx, that workbook is the translation source; the base and other legacy glossary files are not loaded. If the configured master is missing, translation reports an error instead of silently switching to another glossary. Confirm the active path with MNGLOSSARYSTATUS.

Save edits and close Excel before translating. Approved Chinese–Mongolian matches are reused, including by FORCE. A Mongolian-only row cannot be an exact Chinese match. Newly generated AI wording is not automatically approved: review the CSV and use MNMERGE to learn approved corrections. Keep a backup before editing or importing.

Other installations: company and base

If single-master mode is not enabled, the company glossary takes priority over the shipped base glossary. Downloading a master workbook alone does not activate single-master mode. The commands below retain their existing company/base labels; base updates do not change the active master.

CommandWhat it does
MNGLOSSARYSTATUSShows the base glossary version, the company glossary location and how many rows it holds.
MNGLOSSARYIMPORTAdds a whole project term list (an Excel workbook) to the company glossary. A backup is made first; rows that contradict an approved company word are refused and listed.
MNGLOSSARYUPDATEInstalls a newer base glossary. It never touches the company glossary.
MNGLOSSARYROLLBACKGoes back to one of the three previous base glossaries.

Only rows marked approved are used. Rows marked needs_review are never applied to a drawing until someone approves them, however confident the source looked.

With AutoCAD closed, Import glossary… and Export glossary… in the CMN Translator Manager do the same job. The Manager also accepts CSV UTF-8 files and can save a copy of the company glossary.
